Turkish Flatbread Bazlama


Soft and fluffy Turkish flatbread. Delicious!

Ingredients

  • 500g flour
  • 160ml warm milk
  • 160ml warm water
  • 2 tbsp. dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 8g salt
  • 18ml olive oil
  • Parsley + olive oil

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients except the oil into a bowl.
  2. Knead the dough for 5 minutes,
  3. Add the olive oil
  4. Knead for 10 minutes or until the dough has a smooth surface and pull away from the surface of the bowl.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and let proof for 1 hour or until the dough doubled in size.
  6. Once the dough has doubled in size; divide it into 6 equal pieces and roll it into a ball.
  7. Cover it with plastic wrap to prevent forming dry skin, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  8. Place the pan for one to two minutes on medium heat on each side.
  9. Brush the flatbread all over with olive oil and parsley as they come off the pan.
