Ciabatta Bread
Ingredients
- 320ml lukewarm water (1cup+1\4 cup)
- 400g flour (2 cups+ 1\2 cup)
- 30ml olive oil (2 tbsp.)
- 8g salt (1tsp.)
- 5g dry yeast (1tsp.)
Instructions
- Into a bowl, add lukewarm water and yeast; mix thoroughly.
- Add salt, olive oil, and flour; stir until fully combined.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it proof for 40 minutes.
- When the dough is ready, use wet hands and gently lift and fold the dough over onto itself from all sides. Repeat the folding process twice more and let it rest for 40 minutes after each.
- Sprinkle a little flour on top of the dough and on top of the surface.
- Gently move the dough from the bowl to the prepared surface, and divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.
- Place carefully on a lined parchment paper. Cover it and let it proof for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 200°C (464°F) for 20-25 minutes, or until nicely golden.
