Sausage Buns
Sausage buns (or Hot Dog bread rolls) are super soft and fluffy. Yummy!
Ingredients
- 190ml warm milk
- 30g sugar
- 1tbsp.dry yeast
- 50g soft butter
- 325g flour
- 8g salt
- 8 sausages
Instructions
- Add into a bowl warm milk, sugar, and dry yeast. Mix together; Leave for 10 minutes to activate the yeast.
- Add butter, flour, and salt.
- Knead for 10-15 minutes until the dough has a smooth surface.
- Place the dough into a bowl and let proof for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Meanwhile, heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add the hotdogs and let them crisp slightly and get some color. Set aside to cool.
- Once the dough has doubled in size. Divide the dough into 8 balls.
- Roll out each ball and form a long cylinder shape. Pinch and seal the edges.
- Roll this into a rope and keep the middle thicker than the ends.
- roll the dough rope around the sausage.
- Place on a parchment paper baking sheet. Cover the baking sheet and let it proof for 45minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C (392 degrees F).
- Brush the buns with egg wash, and sprinkle sesame seeds.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes.
