 Layered cake with vanilla cream




Vanilla cake is made with a layered of sponge cake, vanilla cream, and almonds flakes. It's worthy for any special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 120g sugar
  • 120g flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 280ml liquid cream
  • 80g almonds flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (356 degrees F).
  2. Add into a bowl the eggs, sugar, and vanilla; whisk together with an electric mixer until pale and thick.
  3. Sieve the flour and a pinch of salt.
  4. Fold gently the ingredients together.
  5. Spread the mixture into a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, Pour the cream into a chilled bowl until thick and forms peaks.
  8. Invert the cake on a wire track and peel off the parchment paper. Trim away the edges of the cake and cut it evenly into two pieces. Set aside to cool.
  9. Spread half the cream over the first half of the cake.
  10. Top with the remaining layer of cake, Add the remaining cream.
  11. Sprinkle the almonds flakes, Chill the cake until the cream is firm.
  12. Trim away the edges. Cut it into even squares.
