Layered cake with vanilla cream
Vanilla cake is made with a layered of sponge cake, vanilla cream, and almonds flakes. It's worthy for any special occasion.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 120g sugar
- 120g flour
- pinch of salt
- 280ml liquid cream
- 80g almonds flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (356 degrees F).
- Add into a bowl the eggs, sugar, and vanilla; whisk together with an electric mixer until pale and thick.
- Sieve the flour and a pinch of salt.
- Fold gently the ingredients together.
- Spread the mixture into a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
- Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, Pour the cream into a chilled bowl until thick and forms peaks.
- Invert the cake on a wire track and peel off the parchment paper. Trim away the edges of the cake and cut it evenly into two pieces. Set aside to cool.
- Spread half the cream over the first half of the cake.
- Top with the remaining layer of cake, Add the remaining cream.
- Sprinkle the almonds flakes, Chill the cake until the cream is firm.
- Trim away the edges. Cut it into even squares.
Serve!
